Last Day

It is the last day of work here at Roadrunner... these last two weeks went by fast...

Tomorrow I start a new adventure... working at a Vet Clinic as a receptionist!

I may not be blogging at work any more but with luck I'll have exciting animial related stories to talk about and I will finally blog at home!

Just went out for lunch at 'Local' with the ladies for a good-bye and I had the fish tacos and yam fries... delicious, so delicious.

ALSO - I have many baking adventures to post about, asap.

V-day Cupcakes

... with a lot of help from the Cupcake Queen Sarah. These would not look as pretty as they do or taste as good as they do with out all ST's help and expert advise! What I learned... and already new... I'm a messy baker... that's the truth, and I need to learn how to scrape a bowl down without getting batter all over the spatula!

Things to practice... but I may have lots of time to practice...

 since I just got laid off today...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY...

it was bound to happen some day with the price of natural gas... so I'm looking at it as an opportunity for change... something I've been talking about so off we go... clearly I was hoping I'd have it figure out before I was unemployed...

but hey you can't always get what you want!

AND NOW - the cupcakes!

Sarah iced this one, beautiful! ... I also have to work on my piping pressure... it is an art and just a bit harder than you think to get the perfect dollop of icing on your cute little cupcake!

The Cheesecake Brownies that changed…

These Brownies from my '”I Heart Sugar” bake book turned out more like a chocolate cake with a little bit of cheesecake flavour swirled in… (which was my doing… not putting the full amount of cheesecake batter in as I had the wrong size pan…)

So the next night… tonight Monday… I made some frosting/icing to jazz them up a bit as they were a bit bland… SO above is what we got! A brownie/cake/cheesecake/frosting square! TA DA!

BELOW – are the girls watching me ice getting impatient and so I snapped a photo, gave them a TREAT and uploaded to Picnik and added a V-Day boarder! Haha a bit kooky I know… but FUNNY!
