Dog Sitting Mr. Jasper :o)

For the past three weeks we have been dog sitting Jasper

 (Mum and Dad's Dog - vacationing in Greece... Jealous much??)

We have had this crazy pup at our house with the girls. It has been a fab adventure... chewing hats and an X-box controller, running every morning with him and evening walks rain or shine (the girls are a lot more picky... to hot to cold... raining...they just won't enjoy their walk with that kind of weather...) He's really not that big of a Shepard Cross but compared to the girls he is so it is quite funny when he jumps up on the couch and looks out the window as the girls do! Above is a video of just that :o)

PS please disregard the high pitched noises coming from the camera gal...

Mini - Makeovers!

First Project - the previous owner of the house (Ronald McDonald) this is true, he left this hutch in our covered deck area. I have since stored our gardening things in it and some extension cords and such. Well I did a mini make over with some chalk board paint!

Not a very good after photo as I have the recycling all over the place but you get the idea! I'm thinking next I will actually paint it white and do that antique look too it... could be fun!

AFTER:

 

This next mini make over is of a bench that my mother in law gave to us. I just did a bit of sanding and then gave it a fresh coat of paint!

The colour is actually the same colour as our newly painted back doors! Which I will have pictures for soon enough!

Summer Holidays

It has been awhile…

Here is what we have been up too!

OFF TO BC - At the lake for the Weber Reunion and to celebrate Grandma’s 90th birthday :o)

The Girls had a good time -  a few freak outs on my part when the did not come when called but eventually they stuck around the cabin and didn’t wander off – so I cooled down and relaxed.

The only campfire we had just a tiny one by the lake… so we could roast marshmallows :o)

Did some beading and made some beautiful bracelets!

Us cool kids in front of the cabin before we headed home. The rents have the pictures of the whole group… I will get them!

NOW to Saskatchewan – Lawrence Family Reunion! Its a great big family and there are quite a few people missing from this group!

Tuesday with the Tripod

I cut half my face off on this picture but for some reason I didn't upload the other one... ahhh well!

A quick trip up to Red Deer so the Tripod could unite at least once a year, is a must!! We had coffee with our good friend Nancy, many BBQ's at the Whitecotton's (thank you thank you), an Engagment Party (See the crazy couple below) Cupcakes (ahhhhmazing cuppitycake cupcakery cupcakes), a rainy famers market, a quick look at Bed Bath and Beyond, and a $17 dollar pair of black skinny jeans at GAP. What a weekend!!

Oma and Opa

This weekend we were up in Calgary Visiting my Oma and Opa who came down from Duncan! It was so wonderful to see them. We haven't seen them since our wedding... almost three years... too long!
