Valentines Day Sugar Cookies

My new favorite sugar cookies recipe - Thank You ST! and I found the greatest icing recipe... a glace... must find website for that... my favorite part is icing them!

Yahoo 1/2 hour until my long weekend starts! Monday is Family Day - not sure what we will be doing but hopefully it will be nice enough to go to the dog park or something with the girls... fingers crossed! Also the Opening for the Olympics is tonight :o)

Thursday Afternoon

A sunny day on my lunch break, taking a few photo's of the girls plus Mr. Sheldon whom we are looking after while the in-laws are in Phoenix. Gabby and Lily are sitting nice with the aid of a treat in front of the camera!

I baked the V-Day sugar cookies last night... had a bit of a rough time... the Heart with Arrow cookie cutter did not want to stay together... so I think I only managed to make one... the rest are big hearts or small hearts!

Tonight I will ice them...

I need to blog!

New News... I made an apple square at the beginning of the month... that was fail unfortunately... not enough butter in the crumble... so it was all crumble and not enough apples in the middle... notes for next time!
Last night I made chocolate chip cookies and added some pecans... now this time I put too MUCH butter in... so they are pancake looking but quite yummy... not bad lol. another note for next time to measure the butter instead of eye balling 2/3 a cup... ah well!
This week I'm making Valentines Day sugar cookies!!! So I will for surely take pictures of the final product. How fun!
February Adventures so far...
-We went to Red Deer for a great theatre Cabaret and fun times with Friends
-I went to Calgary for a girls weekend with my mum and that was also great
-This weekend we have a Toga party and I'm making a no-bake cheesecake! YUM!
-I've also seen a few movies... Whip It, The Invention of Lying, Dear John, and the last Heath Ledger movie... The Imaginariam of Doctor Parnassus... that one was interesting... I did enjoy it though. Whip It was fun and so was The invention of Lying... Dear John... not sure about the ending and I ended up with a huge head ache from trying not to cry to loud... ah well.
