I Love You, Man

It is Tuesday already, wow.

I had a great weekend, it went by fast as always.

I did go see I Love You, Man in theatres Friday night and it was really funny, I recommend it for sure. I really enjoy Paul Rudd and Jason Segal... great together!

And speaking of Jason Segal... who is Marshall in How I met your Mother... a great great show which I watched last night and was quite funny it was called the 'Murtaugh'! (Which is this guy from the Lethal Weapons Movies who always says ' I'm to old for this stuff' all the time anyway) Barney hears that Ted has made a list of things he feels the gang is too old to do, he attempts to complete every task on the list within 24 hours to prove Ted wrong... so funny he gets a Rockin' a party hunch! because he slept on a futon that night... and he get's his ear pierced... won't go to the Doctor... that's on the list... also pull an all nighter, go to a rave and do shots with a random person...so great so funny. and Barney who is Neil Patric Harris is just great so funny!!! Ah yes.

Back to the weekend... THE BIKE RIDE... we did go on a super short five laps around the court bike ride! It was windy... but sunny... and the girls were in the back yard watching so it was short and sweet and I am so very pumped to go for a real long bike ride! ooo and we do need to buy... one day... because they are 50 dollars each... these dog back packs!!! that you put your dog in and then they can go for a bike ride with us! very crazy but it sure would look funny if both Chris and I had these back packs on with the girls in them and we are out riding around... haha but it just has to happen that way because Gabby sure wouldn't stay in a basket and they wouldn't be able to run by the bikes and they would get tired pretty fast... so the solution is either a sweet dog back pack or... those little things you attached to the end of your bike that kids sit in with the zip up windows and such... hum I need to find a picture... ah yes a Bike Trailer! HA HA it would be perfect! But they are around 200 dollars... so I mean it would probably be used again for children... but haha... Well we will just have to ride alone for a while before we get the proper equipment for the girls!
The rest of the weekend was great as well, I am still reading the fourth Twilight Book... Breaking Dawn... its going good... I don't want to read it too fast because then it will be over... but then I can move on and read other books... so I am sure it will be for the best... Did I already write they were filming the Second Movie in Tofino... probably... well I find that pretty exciting!
Well time for some peppermint tea!

Bike Ride Time

Well,

I can't seem to get my font and colour and such all matched up when I write my blogs... I'll have to work on that... not much going on in the world with me... Chris is in Oyen for a few days so its just me and girls... I made a pita pizza last night... but the cheese didn't melt right it was weird... it was almost as if the cheese was to dry and it didn't bubble and go gooey at all... it just went dry melt... o well it was still good! I even put sun dried tomatoes on it and that made it good...

Also work is so very boring... I've become so lethargic just doing nothing at work then coming home and watching TV its ridiculous! So I must and I will RIDE MY BIKE!

I want to ride my bike! The snow needs to leave so I can get moving again... yeah blame it on the weather I know but I do feel like doing so much more when its sunny out! Saturday is supposed to me nice and I really do hope it is! That picture there is one I took when we were in Holland on a bike ride in the sand dunes... and this is the North Sea! I really like that picture and was so happy when it turned out because I had stooped on the path and ran to the sea and just snapped the pic with the fabulous disposable camera and ran back to the group to keep on biking... that was defiantly one of my favorite things we did in Holland! BUTT my butt hurt sooo much the next day it was unbelievable but it was very worth the BUTT pain! ha ha o dear. The right pic is the fam biking along... so beautiful! We had a wonderful guide my opa's sisters son, Klause, he is a biology proffessor.. if I remember correctly so we learned alot of crazy things it was great. I really want to go back with Chris in the future, I just need and want to learn to speak Dutch... something I will do for sure.
... well I'm going to think about riding my bike... and do a bit of work...

Just another Manic Monday...

It is true, it's another Manic Monday here...

Suncor has just announced it wants to merge with Petro-Canada... not so swell when we work for PC... but who knows if I'll be working for RLG for long anyway... so what do I want to do then for my next job... not quite sure... I would work in a coffee shop... I don't really like coffee... but I do like tea... I just like to be busy... I hate just sitting and looking like I'm busy... lameness... so we shall see.

But in GREAT news I did get ice cream this weekend... not once but twice... so yummy and wonderful! :o)

I also stood in line Friday night (12:15 am) at Walmart to buy Twilight on DVD... special addition with super special features... haha... but we were to tired when we got back home to watch it that night... so we watched it Saturday morning! It was pretty good, I did enjoy it. I can't believe they are filming the second one in Tofino! How very exciting, I can't wait to see that one!
I am also a Harry Potter fan... so this weekend Chris and I caught the end of Inside the Actor's Studio with Daniel Radcliffe... spelling... could be wrong... but anyway, it is so crazy how old he is now and when they started filming he was only 11... he has done a few things out side of the HP series that look interesting some British films and some Broadway too... He did this one Broadway play... of course I can't remember what it was called but he was completely naked for a good part of a scene and something about horses and he had a disease of some sort... not sure about it... it looked crazy but interesting as they did show a clip of it...

I also watched season two of Veronica Mars... so great, I do love that show and am so sad that it only went to season three... which I will probably be re-watching this week... wonderful

The puppies were super cute this weekend and played lots together and we took Lily for her first little stroll! Cutie Pie!

She wouldn't look at the camera here but she is sitting with her little harness on!

I was having fun Sunday night and taking lots of pictures in black and white while they were playing and snoozing together. I took one that I really like! They really do like that rope toy... it does have a section of plastic on it that they just chew on non stop... I'm sure eventually it will be all gone and they will have eaten it... and I will find little pieces of red plastic in the back yard...

.... bad ice cream experience....

Can it be true... well it is... we went to the little ice cream shop... it used to be called the Winnie Shop which had hot dogs... as well as a huge selection of awesome ice cream that was brought in from somewhere that was good... any gay... the management changed... as we found out today... no more big selection of ice cream... five flavours... no waffle cones... just plain old briers ice cream... at first we thought this wouldn't be that bad... ice cream is ice cream I got peanut butter and Jody got cookies and cream... well well well... 8 dollars later.... no interact so Jody had to pay for my 4 dollar ice cream... we had the smallest amount of ice cream in a cone... it wasn't all pushed down into the cone... it was two half scoops plopped on top of the cone... and then a few licks later we find a nasty film on the ice cream that feels like gym and looks like... something nasty nasty... also the owner hadn't gotten things set up yet I guess but he gave Jody all change in dimes and nickels... o well it sure was a weird ice cream experience... I still want ice cream so I'm thinking of going out to DQ tonight to get my fix...

Safe for Now...

Safe for another week...
I am working in the Oil and Gas industry right now... as many other jobs... not so secure... and the rumors have been flying around the office about lay-offs for a few months now... mind you it is a very small office five girls as surface land administrators... I'm the newest here and then we have two land guys plus the boss who is a land man as well... so its a small office but we do work for some big clients... unfortunately it is so slow... and budget cuts with the big guys filter down to us... so they have stopped drilling completely... there office has laid off quite a few people and they have decided to do a lot of work in house... rather than use us to save money... so needless to say... it's slow very slow... I've started a blog at work... I've read the twilight book on the Internet ... that was after I brought my book to work to read... as well as the leaked version of Midnight Sun... I told you I had become a bit obsessed...
Anyway so we all have pretty much been just waiting to get laid off ... About a month and a half ago we thought for sure we would be gone... our parking passes were up in February and we just assumed it was time... the three of us, who think we will be the first to go, all wore black that Friday, which was the Friday our boss was off to Mexico for two weeks, were preparing for the news and then he just left at 3 that day, told us to have a good couple of weeks and he would see us after his vacation! So we were safe for Two weeks!!! Yippee! Two weeks came and went... We received an annual parking pass, good news for us we think and then now its been another month...
But such as life, more bad news came this past week, even less work coming our way then thought so we were preparing once again ... this Thursday... today.... the day our boss goes to Hawaii for a week... but same thing, left at 4 with a good-bye see you in a week!
SO we are Safe for Now... we all speculate we will be laid off when he gets back... or at least our hours cut until it picks up again...
Nothing much we can do... wait and see... and keep my good ol' resume up to date and be ready and willing to take anything I can get in this economy...
Well then Until Next Time – J

On This Day

Gabby and Lily sharing a toy! So very exciting to see.
After work yesterday we played outside and picked up a grocery bag full of dog poop... how fun... but it was the perfect time, not too hot out so I could easily pick it up with my grocery bagged hand and not get all mushy in the grass.
So something about me...
Lately, well since February I've gotten into this Saga known as Twilight... I got the first book as a gift for Christmas from Jess, and had heard about it but didn't really know what all the hype was for... vampire book... meh... I do enjoy vampire movies... like Interview with a Vampire... I did enjoy that... other then when they melted and turned to ash in the sun... poor little Kristen Dunst I think... anyway so I started Twilight one Friday night... and BAM! I couldn't stop... holy man I got so invested in those characters it was nuts! Loved it! I was relating everything to Vampires and blood.... so I went out and bought New Moon the next week and ahh so great, I got so wrapped up in the story... I cried... I did, so sad in the beginning of the second book... I just shed a few tears... I knew it was all going to be good in the end... I mean I had two more books to read and clearly Edward would be in them... but I just felt for Bella... Yikkies... I was getting too deep and it was getting crazy... I needed to take a step back... I was starting to get obsessed... ahhh its true and I couldn't help it... that's all I thought about... when the guy playing Edward in the movie , Robert Pattinson... came on the TV for the Grammy's I went nuts and realized... as Chris sat beside me... that I needed to calm down... since then... I am still in Love with the books... but i took it down a notch or too... I'm currently reading the fourth book but haven't had much time too really get through some serious pages... I've been busy with those puppies... SO this leads me to this weekend!!
THE TWILIGHT MOVIE! Yes it comes to DVD Saturday the 21st and Jess and I will be at Walmart early to get our copy and drive home to watch it... Both of us didn't become 'twilighters' (crazy term ill let you know about later) until just recently and didn't watch the movie in theatres... so this will be our first experience other than many a clips on you tube! Well thats all for now time to eat my yogurt... and figure out what I can do at work today...
Until Next time – J

The Official Start of Blogging

Well then,

I always wanted to start a blog... and today is as good as anytime to start...

A slow day at work... and it will be slow for awhile... perfect...

So what is going on...

Recently turned the big 23... great weekend! Sarah came up and made me Birthday Cupcakes! I will post a picture they are so wonderful! Such a great Idea! The things she can make with a cupcake is amazing!

Chris bought us bikes for my birthday!! And I cannot wait for the snow to melt and go ride them. I am so very excited!!!!

We also watched Centre Stage two... ha ha what a movie, I do enjoy dance movies but honestly the acting was horrible but I did enjoy the leads hair cut... I will be growing my hair out... and her hair style is in my mind...

In other exciting news we added another Peka-Pug to our family! We have Gabby who is three on July 25, and then we got her half-sister...(they have the same father) Lily! who is born on December 6, 2008. So it is day three with her and I will be updating with how those two girls are doing!

Gabby is clearly jealous... and doesn't like sharing her toys... and if Lily has one of her own toys Gabby will still take it away and jump on the couch where Lily can't go... But they have been playing together a bit and it's so cute! I cannot wait until they are best of friends!
