getting up

What a super Wednesday! I actually got up at 6:30 instead of 6:50! and what a difference 20 minutes makes! To do this however I had to set my phone alarm for 6:15 and press my 5 minutes snooze button until 6:30 and then I was ready for the morning to get started! I even had time to have some tea with breakfast and water my plants! They will be happy I'm sure... instead of getting an afternoon water in the heat...

I also have a great mix CD in my car at the moment and you know what song I enjoy turning up and singing to on my way to work... Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'... I am a super happily married women but something about this song... makes me want to dance... I think it is the baaa baa da parts where I just want to pull out my sweet dance moves with the arms and go crazy... so on the drive to work I do some serious car dancing and singing... it was a good drive to work today needless to say!

Bokeh!

I think I have achieved a 'bokeh' image here! perhaps maybe!

I was told, by Zoe - photographer extraordinaire - one of my previous posted images I had achieved bokeh so I looked it up because I had no clue what it meant and TADA I learned something new!

Bokeh (derived from Japanese, a noun boke 暈け, meaning "blur" or "haze") is a photographic term referring to the æsthetic quality of the out-of-focus areas of an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field.[1] Essentially, bokeh is an aesthetic and qualitative measure of light distortion in the out-of-focus areas of an image, and is primarily caused by lens aberrations and aperture shape.

Yellow Flower in our backyard.

I really do like the MACRO setting on my camera! I always enjoy taking artsy pictures, but actually have no idea what I'm doing or how to compose a nice picture... but when I'm on Macro it just seems like it makes the picture look pretty and kinda funky...

I didn't realize until after I uploaded this picture that their is an ant on the flower! It was so sunny outside I couldn't see on the camera screen! HOW EXCITING!

The super SWEET new welcome sign we got from my OMA the other day! Which we need to hang up by the front door and take a picture and send it to Oma and Opa! Too cute! BUT I promise we will not become the crazy pug family with pug memorabilia all over the house... just a healthy amount of pug things to show our love!

The new photo's plus frames that are going up our front entrance stair wall! I bought the frames ages ago at Ikea and then finally developed the pictures... and then another month later finally put them up on the wall!

Have a fabulous weekend! It is supposed to be plus 30's here. HOT HOT HOT. and I plan on riding my bike... in the morning!

This Weeks Lily Pad!

Ms. ST was down for a visit to Medicine Hat this past weekend and It was Fab-u-lous Fun! The weather was crap but we still did manage to use the BBQ for our Saturday dinner!

I did receive one SUPER AWESOME t-shirt from her from -Johnny Cupcakes- I've worn it all weekend... as well as Monday to the movies... G.I. Joe... meh okay movie.... little on the Cheesy Side for me. But it was action packed! ANYWAY the shirt says MAKE CUPCAKES NOT WAR! its super cute! LOVE IT! Thank you ST! and if you were wondering ... I didn't wear the shirt for a full 8 hours at a time... so it is not gross... i probably have one more night of wearing it then I will wash it inside out and HANG to dry!

ALSO ALSO! We went to t he Movie Julia & Julie based on the true stories of Julia Child and Julie Powell.... AMAZING! what a cute movie that was hilarious! BON APPETIT!

As well as a great BBQ dinner we topped the night off with a few bottles of Grapefruit Wine and Guitar Hero!

• Trying a cheddar and dill muffin i just purchased at Munro's not realizing it was a cheddar and dill muffin until after the purchase...
• Going to spin class to get my butt kicked
• Eating a DQ blizzard later tonight to support the Miracle Children's Network!

Now for Why I believe things happen for a REASON!

Last night while I was at my in-laws house having super we noticed a little white dog wandering around the front and back yard... we believed it was perhaps the neighbors because there was another vehicle parked there... Camellia and I then went out for a walk with Gabby and Lily and we took Mr. Sheldon the ol' man shitzu with us as well. Camellia was making a phone call and we got a little lost trying to find a path in this residential area. So I just kept on walking... well just as I thought we found an entrance to a path some one in a truck asked us if we'd seen a little white DOG!! We told them about the little one we saw around the house and that our mother in-law helped a neighbor catch him/her , we pointed them in the right direction and off we went on our walk. Just as we were coming back around to the house the white truck stopped and let us know that it was there little White Dog and thanked us! HOORAY! a dog was found! Now if we had finished dinner earlier like we planned and took the path to the coulee we would never have been lost trying to find the other shorter walk path and ran into the owners of the lost dog!

Resturant Makeover

This here is a picture of the little boat house restaurant that was at the Resort we stayed in for my cousin's wedding in Ontario. This restaurant was in the show Restaurant Makeover on the Food Network! It was so crazy walking into the place because if felt like your had already been there... It was a neat little place, I really liked the chandeliers! It was a bit cool out the afternoon after the wedding so we went and had some hot chocolates... Sheena, Gillian, Chris and I.

Chris makes me laugh all the time... this was his 8 dollar 'special' coffee...

Wedding Weekends!

These Past two weekends in July we have been in Toronto and Estevan! Lots of great memoires and fun times with both sides of the Family! As well as the BEAUTIFUL weddings - brides - grooms and clearly us as the GUESTS! JK!
